Independent 5G Research from Nomor using RLNC

This is a great piece of independent research from Fasil Tesema and Pauli Volker of Nomor Research GmbH acknowledging the advantages of using Random Linear Network Coding  #rlnc in 5G broadcast/ multicast networks.

Looking forward to more recognition from standardization bodies that RLNC is a key enabling technology for future networks. You can find the research here  on the White papers section of the website for 5GXCAST (5G-PPP project Broadcast and Multicast Communication Enablers for the Fifth-Generation of Wireless Systems) or directly here

5G-Xcast objectives are to "devise, assess and demonstrate a conceptually novel and forward-looking 5G architecture for large scale immersive media delivery." Noting the huge recent and also expected uptick in global media consumption per capita, development of reliable and scalable media delivery architecture is paramount to 5G networks.
